Seaton Fest Friday Line-up

Seaton Fest Stage with band performing

Live Music

Friday marks the opening of the festival.  We are proud to host 3 fantastic acts from the region.  Details of the acts performing on Friday in our beer tent stage are as follows.

Evie Barrand : 19.00

Evie Barrand is a former Woldgate College pupil who has recently released her debut single, summers warm, and has featured on BBC Introducing.  Evie’s music is heavily influenced by the 90’s/00’s UK indie scene, particularly bands like Travis and Keane, and she has been praised on Twitter by both Fran Healy (Travis) and Tom Chaplin (Keane) for her covers of their songs . Since joining Goole’s ‘School of Rock’ youth music programme in 2015 Evie has been honing her performances by playing open mic nights in and around Yorkshire.

She warmed up the crowd ahead of Will Young’s performance at Junction Goole in 2015. During the summer of 2018 Evie played many festivals including Humber Street Sesh, Beverley Fringe Festival and Carfest North for Children in Need, which she has been asked to play again next year. Evie is looking forward to 2021 as a year to get back to performing live after covid!.

Emma Fee: 20.00

Emma has been performing and recording with her band The Happy Endings since 2004 but more recently embarked on a solo venture. She released her self-titled EP in 2012, followed by the well-received album “Too Busy Watching Invisible Things” in 2014. Her latest EP “The Anachronist” showed a more piano based, sombre side although she normally performs her shows on acoustic guitar. Emma’s songs are melodic, heartfelt and authentic, drawing lyrical inspiration from personal experiences and observations and musical influence coming from bands such as The Beatles, The Band, Feist and Bright Eyes. A firm favourite on the BBC Introducing Humberside show, Emma’s tracks have been featured as “Track Of The Week” on a few occasions. She is currently working on material for a new album.

Listening Club: 21.00

Northern Soul isn’t a term that’s used a lot today, unless describing the good old days… but Listening Club are keeping that fire alive.

The band gives a British take on early American pop stylings, but with the energy of 90s guitar bands.

The four-piece put their heart and soul to everything they do – and with their many years of combined experience, they always guarantee an engaging and energetic show.
